We’re Ashley and Laurie, a mother-daughter team creating effortlessly elegant weddings filled with beauty, meaning, and ease. With a natural blend of logistical precision and aesthetic vision, we help modern couples celebrate love with intention and artistry.
Laurie’s Story
With a background in healthcare and a lifelong passion for aesthetics, Laurie brings a calm, grounded presence and a discerning eye to every event. Her transition from clinical settings to creative work was a natural evolution, one that allowed her to merge her love of beauty, tradition, and thoughtful experiences. After joining Ashley for a wedding one weekend, she found herself instantly at home in the world of events, and the mother-daughter partnership was born.
Laurie lives with her husband and their two dogs in a home that reflects her appreciation for luxury and timeless charm. Mornings often begin with a very strong cup of coffee, best enjoyed while sketching a new tablescape or planning her next antique hunt.
An enthusiastic home cook, Laurie approaches the table the same way she approaches events, with intention and beauty. Whether she’s preparing a slow-roasted meal or assembling a multi-course dinner, each plate is served with elegant presentation, and the table is set to reflect the mood of the season.
Her design philosophy centers on creating environments that feel storied and soulful, celebrations that leave a lasting impression not just because they’re beautiful, but because they feel like home.
Ashley’s Story
Ashley’s journey into wedding planning began long before she stepped into the industry professionally. As a young girl, a career fair quiz matched her with the role of “wedding planner” a perfect fit for the girl who never left home without her agenda and highlighters. That moment sparked a lifelong fascination with planning, design, and storytelling.
Years later, Ashley became a wedding planning assistant for some of the industry’s most respected planners, working behind the scenes of luxury events with the dream of one day building her own brand. Inspired by her grandmother, a celebrated interior decorator, and her mother’s shared passion for beautiful hosting, Ashley was raised in a home where details mattered and gatherings felt like magic. From holiday tables adorned with heirloom centerpieces to impromptu styling sessions with friends, event design was in her blood.
Now, as the founder of Day of Enchantment Events, Ashley blends her love for logistics, design, and human connection into every wedding. When she’s not planning, she enjoys time with her husband, their cat and dog, and loves attending local fashion shows, art exhibits, or catching a play at the theater.
